Judy Gwin

A celebration of her life will be held 10:30 a.m., Friday, March 17, at Connally Compton Funeral Directors. Burial will follow in Waco Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, March 16 at the funeral home.

Judy was born May 25, 1946 in San Antonio, Texas to Ola Mae (Turner) and Samuel Jake Jones. She was a graduate of Canyon High School in New Braunfels, Texas. Judy worked for Don Strange Catering Company for over 20 years. She was involved in many local community events around the San Antonio area including the Poteet Strawberry Festival and the Go Western Gala. Judy enjoyed playing bingo and collecting antiques. Her family and pets were her greatest joys. Judy will be missed and loved by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Taylor Jones and sister, Sammie Mae Jones.

Survivors include her husband, James Gwin; children, Sammy Gwin and wife Maranda, Annie Gwin and husband Thomas O’Neill, and Becky Passmore; grandchildren, Justin Gwin, Zachary Gwin, Savannah Mixon, and Shelbie Mixon; brother, Bobby Jones and wife Madelyn; and 4 nieces, 1 nephew; lifelong friend, Jimmie Lee Parker and several other relatives and friends.
