Larry David Hill, 57, passed away Tuesday, October 5, 2010 after a long illness. Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, October 8, 2010 at Chapel Hill Memorial Park with his brother, Keith Hill officiating.
Larry was born June 12, 1953 in Denver City, Texas to Charles Vernon and Mary Jewell (Mathis) Hill. He was salutatorian of his Denver City High School class of 1971, and a National Merit Scholar. After a long career as a painter in Waco he leaves a legacy of many homes and buildings painted beautifully and professionally in the Waco area. He was a member of the Church of Christ. He was known for his dry wit and great sense of humor. He loved fishing and was a passionately devoted Texas Longhorn fan.
Larry was preceded in death by his father, Charles Vernon Hill.
Those left behind to cherish Larry’s memory are his mother, Mary Jewell Law of Waco; brother, Keith Hill and wife, Annice, of San Antonio; sister, Judy Von Ritchie of Waco; nephews, Kyle Hill and wife, Whitney, of Austin, Mason Von Ritchie of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; niece, Addie O’Beirne and husband, Hugh, of Princeton, New Jersey; great nephews, Cassian Lee O’Beirne, Aidan Hill O’Beirne, both of Princeton, New Jersey, Ryder Vernon Hill, Hudson Issac Hill, both of Austin; and great niece, Zoe Stynes O’Beirne of Princeton, New Jersey.
