Linette Padilla Hagar fought a lengthy courageous battle but was finally called to her heavenly home by the Lord Saturday, August 29, 2015 surrounded by her loving family and friends. Her determination and will to survive will be forever remembered by everyone.

Linette was born in Waco, Texas on April 29, 1967 to Roy Padilla and Susie Bass. She attended Waco schools. She was a true Trojan, graduating from University High School, where she blossomed into a beautiful young woman. Her cherished memories were being a UHS Highlighter and being a homecoming nominee. She also performed on the MCC Dance Team for two years.
Linette touched everyone’s life she came in contact with. Whether it was driving a school bus as a young lady to knowing everyone‘s name that conducted business with her where she held numerous positions for 16 years at Community Bank and Trust.
Linette will always be remembered for her vivacious spirit, bubbly personality, and fashionable style. Anywhere she went she was the life of the party with her style and smile. And she never met a stranger. Her engaging laughter made her attractive both inside and out. Always a good cook with any dish, she was quick to note, “Love is the most important ingredient.” She was loyal and committed to family and friends. Most of all, she was a great mother to her most precious miracle child, Ivy.
Preceding her in death are her father Roy Padilla, maternal grandmother Maria Hernandez, paternal grandparents Pedro and Ruby Padilla, aunts, Rachel Padilla and Josie Hernandez, uncles, Isaac Padilla and Ruben Hernandez, and Uncle and God Father, Rumaldo P. Jimenez.
She is survived by her miracle child, Ivy Padilla Coffee, whom will continue her wonderful legacy. The love of her life and best friend, Nolan Hagar, who was loyal to her to her last breath. Parents Nelson and Susie Bass, brothers Giovanni (Gino) Padilla and wife Phoebe, James Bass and wife Alison, Steve Bass and wife Marcy, and Ryan Bass, nephews Jonathan Gayton, Niko Padilla, niece Amaya Padilla, and other numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Steve Hernandez, Jonathan Gayton, Chavelo Jimenez, Frank Jimenez, Paul Torres, and Gabriel (Gabe) Valdez.
Honorary Pallbearers are Rudy Hernandez, Randy Hernandez, and Miguel Jimenez.
Our beloved “Nena” will be sorely missed and forever remembered.
