Mary Mann Battle

Funeral Services will be 2:00p.m., Saturday, August 23, at Connally Compton Funeral Directors Chapel. Private burial will follow in Waco Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends Friday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., August 22, at Connally Compton Funeral Directors.

Mary was born September 18, 1929, to E.R. and Mary Lou Janes. She worked for Manpower for several years and later with her first husband, Gerald C. Mann, as the bookkeeper for his lumber business. She also worked for Midway ISD as a payroll clerk until retiring in the early 90’s. Fishing was one of her pastimes and she loved to go on her houseboat with her beloved Scottie, Mac. She enjoyed Bunco, slot machines and the Baylor Lady Bears basketball team.

She was preceded in death by her parents and first husband.

Survivors include her husband, Wendell Battle; daughter, Pam Mann-Dominik and husband, Eddie; daughter, Karen Mann-Patterson, and cherished grandson, Alex Patterson.

Donations may be made in Mary’s name to the Scott & White Healthcare Foundation, Midway Education Foundation and the Scott & White Hospice at Baylor Scott & White Hillcrest Medical Center.
