Melba Lee Yates of Waco passed away Monday, September 3, 2012 at a local nursing home. Melba was born in Cego, Falls County, Texas to Alan Wesley Pelt and Annie Mae Gibson. She had been a member of Columbus Avenue Baptist Church for many years.
There will be a time to share with her family in a “farewell” at Rosemound Cemetery on Wednesday, September 5 at 1:00pm.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Martin Yates; and her brothers, Floyd Pelt, Lewie Pelt and W.J. Pelt.
Survivors include her nephew, Tom Pelt and wife Joy of Waco.
