Mike was born December 23, 1944 in Long Beach, California to Isaac and Wilma Byerley. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and retired as a 1st Lieutenant. He was a soldier not only in service to his country, but also to God. He fought a courageous battle, and now may he rest in peace.
His parents preceded him in death along with his daughter, Stephanie Byerley. He leaves behind his son, Scott Byerley and wife Beckie; grandchildren, Anna and Harrison; sister, Melinda Hawkins; brother, William Byerley; and nieces, Ronda Canning, and Cynthia Lindeman.
Mike’s favorite scripture was Isaiah 40:31
“But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”
