
Ralph R. Roe, 95, died on Sunday morning, September 23rd at 1:05 a.m. at Crestview Healthcare Residence. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, September 25th, at Mart Cemetery in Mart Texas with Reverend Brad Brittain officiating.
Mr. Roe was born on September 27, 1916, to John William Roe and Johnnie Blanch White Roe at Osage, TX in Coryell County. He graduated from Oglesby High School in 1936 and attended Baylor University before and after World War II. He married the love of his life, Imogene (Gene) Carradine, on June 6, 1942.
He served four years in the Sixth Armored Division as a surgical technician and participated in five major battle campaigns, including the campaign at Bastogne. He was a member of VFW Post 121 and he worked at General Tire & Rubber Co. for 34 years, retiring December31, 1982.
Ralph was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Imogene. They had been married almost 54 years. He was a member of Central United Methodist Church. Survivors include his two sisters, Juanita Hester and Antha Boatright, both of Pasadena, TX, and several niece and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, for those desiring to send a memorial gift, contributions may be made to Central Methodist Church. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Galilean Sunday School Class.
