Rosa Maria (Lima) Mendoza Mena

Rosa Maria (Lima) Mena, age 83, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2012 in Marlin. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Friday, Jan 6, at St. Francis Catholic Church with Father Roman Burgos officiating and burial following in the Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 5, and Rosary recited at 7 p.m. at Connally/Compton Funeral Directors Chapel.

Rosa was born Aug. 30, 1928, to Albertano and Rosa Adamez Mendoza in Falls County, Texas. She was a longtime resident of Satin. Rosa was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church and Guadalupanas.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jose Angel Mena; and her parents, Albertano and Rosa Mendoza.

Rosa leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughter, Josephene Mena Lopez and husband, Lauro, of Satin; sons, Jose angel Mena, Jr., Fernando Mena, and Ricardo Mena, all of Satin; granddaughters, Jessica Ann Mena, Rosa Delania Mena, Jennifier Mena, and Yolanda Pricill Lopez Meador and husband, Nathan; grandsons, Joey Lee Mena, Brandon Kyle Mena, Joe Angel Mena III, Albert Mena, and Lauro Lopez Jr., great-granddaughter, Lupe Scholl and husband, Kris, Desiree Scholl, Kirestin Scholl, Caylyn Scholl, Abigail Maria Lopez., Andreanna Meador and Erin Larissa Meador; and great-grandsons, Tyler Mena and Lauro Elijah Lopez
