

Rose Lepar, 90, of Waco, passed away Monday, June 10, 2013. Graveside services will be 11:00 AM, Friday, June 14, 2013 at Waco Memorial Park with the Reverend Brad Brittain officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM, on Thursday, June 13th at Connally/Compton Funeral Directors.
Mrs. Lepar was born January 30, 1923 in Lorena, Texas to Oliver and Minnie Davis Williams. She was a devoted member of St. Johns Methodist Church for over 60 years, where she had many close friends who helped and supported her over the years. Rose was a great cook, who will always be remembered especially for her pecan pies. She was a talented seamstress and sewed for many of her friends. Mrs. Lepar worked at General Tire and spent many years working in retail sales at Cox’s Department Store, even though she was profoundly hard of hearing. She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, Barney J. Krause, second husband, William R. Lepar, to whom she was married for 32 years, 12 siblings and 2 step sons.
Survivors include her son Curtis Krause and his wife, Marsha of Arlington, step daughter, Gertrude Merritt and her husband, Jerry, of Odessa, step daughter-in law, Judy Lepar, 7 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and extended family.
A special thanks to her niece, Ruth Smith, Louise Gilliam, the Amelunke family, her many church friends, and the staff at Sodalis Elderly Living and Bluebonnet Hospice for their loving and compassionate care.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to The Alzheimer’s Association or Central United Methodist Church in Waco.
