Arthur Ventura Sr.

Arthur served in the Army soon after WWII stationed in Oahu. He had several jobs, the last at Kula Hospital in maintenance where he worked until his retirement. In the early 1950’s, he met the love of his life, Betty Ann Lopes and married in 1952.

Arthur is survived by his wife, Betty; two sons: Arthur Jr. (Doris), Scott (Dee Ann); along with three grandsons: Aaron, Ryan and Dane (Brittany). Arthur and Betty were married for 73 years. He was a faithful family man as well as a parishioner of Holy Ghost Church and devoted time to maintaining the church grounds.

Arthur lived life on his own terms. He loved motorcycles, hunting, fishing, boating and later a cowboy for Kaonoulu and Kaupo Ranch.

The family would like to express their gratitude to Kula Hospital ER, Maui Memorial Medical Center (ER, Maui North Med/Surg MHS, case managers) and Hospice Maui.

The funeral service will be on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, Holy Ghost Church in Kula, Maui. Visitation will be at 8:00am and Mass at 9:00am. Burial will take place at Maui Veterans Cemetery in Makawao at 10:30am. Lunch to follow at the Holy Ghost Church Hall.
