

Ellen retired from Maui Land & Pineapple Company as a Head Forelady after 54 years. She also worked for 25 years at Polynesian Adventure Tours where she had multiple duties.
She loved working in her yard, singing and playing ukulele, caring for her family and spoiling her dogs. She also loved playing cards, socializing, swimming, and going to Las Vegas.
Ellen is predeceased by her husband, Howard F. Yap; survived by her Daughters, Terry Lynn Yap, Tanya Ann Comeaux; Son, Radford Yap (William Sabal); her Grandchildren, Sheri Ann Lopes-Chisolm (Eddie), Tiana Comeaux, Taralei Lopes, Ikaika Yap (Gavin Manoa), Taylin Comeaux (Lauren Kasper); and her Great Grandchildren, Mailani Manoa-Yap, Ayanna Moriwake, Ioane Manoa-Yap and one more on the way.
Funeral Service for Ellen will be on Friday, May 8, 2026, at Norman’s Mortuary in Wailuku, Visitation will be at 9:00 a.m., Service will be at 10:00 a.m., Private Burial will be held at a later date.
