He served in the US Navy during World War II and was in the retail tire business for many years on Oahu until he moved to Kula in 1970, where he owned Hupp's Highland Carnation Farm until his retirement.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Norma Breeding Hupp.
He is survived by a son Stephen Hupp and two daughters Suzanne (Ken) Darr and Jeanne (Pako) Garcia; 11 Grandchildren and 4 great-granddaughters.
Private services will be held at a later date.
