Lily Margaret Akuna, 80, formerly of Wailua-Nui, Keanae, passed away on Thursday, April 14, 2011 at her home under the care of Hospice Maui. Mrs. Akuna was born on February 12, 1931 in Lanai City. She was a retired envelope packer with Mail-Well, Inc. She is survived by her two sons, Jimmy (Paulette) Akuna and Terry Akuna; six daughters, Laura (Harley-daeceased) Clark, Marsha (Robert Lumabao) Akuna, Darleen "Dolly" (Jason Chai) Hinau, Brenda (Guy) Espaniola, Wendy (Ben) Miguel and Natalie "Nat" Akuna; one brother, Tommy Enfield; two sisters, Violet Johns and Kanani Vasquez; 28 grandchildren; and 22 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, James Kaaha Akuna and one grandchild.
Visitation: Family and friends are invited to gather for funeral services on Monday, April 25, 2011 at Borthwick Norman's Mortuary. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m.Services: Service at 11 a.m.Interment: Burial will follow 1:30 p.m. at the Maui Veteran's Cemetery in Makawao.
