Michael Arnold Davis

Michael Davis Sr., (79) passed away peacefully on July 1st, 2023 in Wailuku, Maui Hawaii. He was surrounded by his family and friends. He was born on January 28, 1944, in Paia to Luther Davis and Elizabeth (Wong) Davis. Also, his beloved sisters, Penny and June. Mike is survived by his three children; Michele Heile (Tim), Michael Davis Jr., and Jonathan Davis (Maile). And his 10 grandchildren; Lilia, James, Ava, Serena, Sunny, Gabriella, Ginger, Simeon, Hope, and Sam.Mike graduated from St. Anthony, Class of 62’ and the University of Hawaii. Mike’s involvement in the community ranged from coaching St. Anthony’s youth sports to Big Brothers to a long outstanding involvement in the Jaycees. He was also involved in the airline industry; as the Sales Manager for Aloha and Hawaiian. Also, in the tourist industry as the owner of Davis Travel and Tours. During his political career, he worked as a liaison for Governor John Waihe’e III, and served as a County Councilmember for Kahului district. He retired from the State of Hawaii and enjoyed golfing and singing karaoke.His service will be held at St. Anthony Church on July 19, 2023, at Wailuku Maui.
