Rev. Sione Maumalanga, of Kihei, passed away on Monday, December 26, 2011 at his residence. Family and friends are invited to gather for funeral services on Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at Ala Lani Methodist Church, Kahului. Visitation will begin at 6 to 10 p.m. with a service 7:00p.m. Visitation will continue on Thurday, January 12, 2011 at Church at 7a.m. with a service at 9a.m. Burial will fllow at 2p.m. at maui Memorial Park, Wailuku. Rev. Maumalanga was born on October 10, 1917 in Tonga. He was a Pastor for Free Wesleyan Church of Tonga. Rev. Maumalanga is survived by two sons, Sione Peau(Mele) Maumalanga, Kamaloni (Mele) Maumalanga, six daughters, Ana Malafu, Mele Tuipulote, Utoileti Finau, Vailele Tatofi, Kalolaine Hukehuke and Teuila(Naupoto) Vainikolo; a brother, Manatu Maumalanga; 48 grandchildren; 176 great grandchildren & 7great great grandchildren
