

Robert “Bob” Gregory Hauck of Kahului, Maui passed away suddenly and peacefully on Wednesday, September 29, 2021, with his loving wife, Teresa Hauck, his twin sister, Becky Anderson and his niece, Stacy Van Hoose by his side. He was born on March 12, 1949 in Los Angeles, CA to the late Joseph E. Hauck and Marjorie Hauck. Bob graduated from Canoga Park High School in 1967 and entered into the United States Navy. Upon honorable discharge, Bob then began a career in law enforcement and served on the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department until an injury forced him to retire. During a vacation in 1985 to visit his twin sister, Bob made the decision to call Maui his home and moved to Kihei. He began his career with The Renaissance Hotel as Director of security until retirement. Bob enjoyed watching classic movies and sports, especially the Los Angeles Dodgers. He loved spending time with his family and friends, and always had his sarcastic wit about him wherever he went. Bob was optimistic, loving, faithful and kind, and carried his sense of humor everywhere, through every situation.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph E. Hauck and Marjorie Hauck and his eldest brother, Joseph Randal Hauck. Besides his loving wife, Teresa, Bob is survived by his twin sister, Rebecca Anderson, son, Gregory (Lisa) Hauck, mother-in-law Angelita Inay, sister-in-laws Dariline (Andres) Arrocena, Lorlane (Mark) Tassler, brother-in-laws Sunny (Gina) Inay, Joseph Inay, Bong (Sonia) Inay, granddaughter Miranda Hauck, his little “Princess” Sophia Vergara, nieces, Stacy and Katlyn Van Hoose, nephew Joe Hauck, as well as many more nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and extended family. Bob will be forever missed, but will live on in the many lives he touched along his path.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Norman’s Mortuary, 105 Wai’ale Road, Wailuku, HI 96793. Services are scheduled for Friday, October 15, 2021. Family Viewing is from 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.; Public Viewing is from 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.; Service begins at 7:00 p.m. Due to Covid-19, face masks and social distancing are required. Temperature checks will be done upon entry into the funeral home.
