Saturnino Paranada Sapla

Saturnino P. Sapla passed away on April 20, 2025 in Lahaina, Maui, Hawai‘i. He was born in Gonzaga Cagayan, Philippines on February 7, 1932 to The Late Anecito Bernabe Sapla & Simeona Paranada Sunio.

Saturnino worked and Longhi’s, Chart House and Kaanapali Shores. He loved playing with his Grandchildren, Playing Cards, Cock Fighting and Gardening.

He is predeceased wife Irene Saribay Sapla; Daughter Tessie (Balbino) Mallo; Brother Ricardo (Gorgonia) Sapla; and his Sisters, Corazon (Dominador) Morales and Consolacion (Sabas) Orteza.

Saturnino is survived by Children, Virgie (Prudencio) Agsalud, Helen (Nick) Sapla-Coll, Merly (Nelson) Gonzales, Luz (Julito) Umayam, Eden (Medarda) Sapla, John (Maryann) Sapla; and Brother Martin (Rosita) Sunio.

He is also survived by his Grandchildren Marvex (Rosalyn) Mallo, Melvar Mallo, Mafel Mallo, Marife Mallo, Prudencio Jr. (Karen) Agsalud, Prudgien (Charlie) Agsalud, Rekzar (Jennifer) Sapla, Clint Sapla, Cairene (Edwin) Swagerty, Mahealani Umayam (Kevin Cruz) Leilani Umayam, Ivan (Megan) Sapla, Ivanna Kate Sapla, Isaiah Sapla, Shaquille (Haley) Sapla, Kyle Sapla, Dorothy Sapla; Great Grandchildren Cionna & Thannia Agsalud, Prudgien Agsalud Jr., Logan & Liam Sapla, Raphael-John, Carter-Jayden, Luca-Jasper, Tristan-James & Jasmine-Joy Sapla, LV & Theodore David, Elaiza Mallo, Azariah James, Zecharyah Nelnino, Mayah & Eliyah Irely Swagerty, and Taylen & Kenley Cruz.

Saturnino will forever be missed.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, May 15, 2025 at Maria Lanakila Church in Lahaina, Public Visitation is at 5:00 p.m.; Service at 7:00 p.m.; Service will continue on Friday, May 16, 2025 at Norman’s Mortuary, Wailuku. Public Visitation is at 9:00 a.m.; Service at 11:00 a.m.; Burial at 2:00 p.m. at Valley Isle Memorial Park Cemetery in Haiku.
