
Minerva F. Myers of Toledo, OH, formerly of Walbridge, OH died on
January 3, 2012, at The Lutheran Home at Toledo. She was
born April 15, 1922 in Jetts, Kentucky to James Keller and Ida Alice
(Bradley) Keller. Minerva married the love of her life, Paul T. Myers on
December 2, 1944 and they spent 26 wonderful years together before he died
unexpectedly in 1971.
Minerva, “Minnie” as she was known to her friends and relatives, was
employed as a baker at St. Vincent Hospital for 14 years retiring in 1986. After
her retirement she began making handmade quilts that she gave to family
members and friends. Minnie made and donated quilts to help raise money
and awareness for Ovarian Cancer and Alzheimer's Disease. She also made and
donated several quilts to the Wolcott House Museum.
She was a member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Oregon, Ohio.
Minerva is survived by her sister, Ruth Fox; special niece, Karen “Kitty” Meyers; special nephew, Jeff Keller; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents and brothers Ambrose “Bud” and Allen Keller.
Visitation will be held at Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 701 North Main
Street, Walbridge, Ohio on Thursday, January 5, 2012, from 5-8 pm, where the rosary will be recited at 7pm. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11:00 am. in the Witzler Shank Funeral Home, Walbridge with Very Reverand Mark Herzog officiating. Burial will follow in Lake Township Cemetery.
