

Aiko Logan, 73, of Waldorf, MD passed away peacefully on November 4, 2021, surrounded by her family and loved ones. Aiko grew up in Okinawa, Japan, and was one of seven children. She met the love of her life, Russ, while working in a barbershop cutting hair. After marriage and starting a family, she later moved to England, Washington D.C., and eventually to Waldorf, where she lived for the remainder of her years. She worked at the Washington Navy Yard for many years and enjoyed working in her garden, playing BINGO, painting, cooking for her family, and spending time with her family and friends. In her free time, she also enjoyed volunteering at the Charlotte Hall Veteran’s Home, sewing clothes for the residents. Aiko will be missed dearly and always remembered as a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother.
Aiko was predeceased by her husband Russell A. Logan, Jr., both of her parents Shoki and Yoshiko Arakaki, and her sister, Fumiko and brother, Yoshihide. She is survived by her daughter, Michele Hamilton and her husband Barry and their children Claire and Page; and her son James Logan and his wife Leigh and their children Avery and Savannah, as well as her brother Yoshinobu, sisters Toshiko, Kimiko, and Tomoko, and many nieces and nephews.
We will be receiving family and friends at Huntt Funeral Home 3035 Old Washington Rd., Waldorf, MD 20601 from 9:00am-11:00am on Saturday, November 20th. Prayers will be held at 10:30am.
