John worked for Chaney Enterprises for 25 years and he also worked for Long and Foster for more than 30 years as a realtor and licensing instructor.
He was the son of the late Harold and Edna Graves. He is survived by his loving wife Linda of 40 years; daughters Kristi Donovan (Ryan)of Fairfax, VA, Susan Patterson (Michael) of Baltimore, MD, and Judy Campanella (Nicholas)of Sykesville, MD; grandchildren Paige, Juliet, Vincent and Genevieve and brother Ridgely Graves of Mechanicsville, MD

A visitation will be held at the Huntt Funeral Home on Thursday January 22, 2015 from 4 to 7pm. There will also be a short visitation on Friday January 23, 2015 from 10 to 11am with the funeral service to begin at 11am at the Huntt Funeral Home. Burial will take place at a later date at Maryland Veterans Cemetery Cheltenham, Maryland.
