Joseph Henry Atchison, Sr. died January 16, 2012 at Southern Maryland Hospital, Clinton, Maryland at the age of 75. Mr. Atchison was a resident of Waldorf, Maryland. He worked as a gas station attendant for many years and then drove a truck delivering parts. Born February 7, 1936 in Prince George's County, Maryland. He was the son of the late James Atchison and Catherine Janie (King) Atchison. Survivors include: wife, June Margaret Atchison, son, Joseph H. Atchison, Jr. and wife Donna, daughter, Elizabeth J. Fowler and husband John, daughter, Cartha D. Marks and husband Steve and son, James W. Atachison and wife Sharon. 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. 5 sisters and 2 brothers. Family will receive friends on Thursday, January 19, 2012 from 2:00-4:00pm, at The Huntt Funeral Home, 3035 Old Washington Road, Waldorf, Maryland where funeral services will be held at 4:00p.m.
