Leland Franklin Nicely, aged 71 passed away on Friday August 9th in Clinton, MD. He was born March 10,1953 to loving parents Leland Samuel Nicely and Catherine Baker Nicely in Washington DC. He was a 1970 graduate from Lackey High School and continued his education at College of Southern Maryland where he played baseball for two years and continued to play in the Southern Maryland Adult league late into his forties. He was retired from Safeway Grocery. He is survived by his brother Brian D. Nicely and his sister-in-law, Beth Nicely, nephew Brian A. Nicely and nieces, Brooke Drake and Brynn Chernikoff. As well as his ex-wife Patricia Nicely and step-children, Anna Costello, Christiana Burgos and Jesse Floeck.
