

Christopher “Fina” Roosevelt Soliman, 31, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 8, 2014 in Toppenish,Washington. Christopher was born in Yakima on February 28, 1982 to Cleo and Carlos Soliman. Fina attended Wapato and Tribal schools and was a proud member of the Yakama Nation. He was an active tagger, artist, and devoted family man. He was baptized at the Satus Shaker Church was a lifelong member. Christopher loved music, loved to travel, and attend concerts. Fina had numerous “bros” and “homies” and he had many lifelong best friends. He was a loved brother and no words can explain how much we loved him.
Christopher is survived by his mother and step-father Cleo Sarah (Shuster) and David Clark of Yakima; his daughters, Ashly Michelle, Kalani Soliman, and Kaniah Soliman all of Yakima; and his sister Tarilyn Shuster of White Swan and numerous brothers. Christopher was preceded in death by Jonathon Shuster, Virginia Tahkeal and grandmother Sarah Harrison Lawyer of Lapwai, Idaho.
A Dressing Service will be held today, Thursday January 9, 2014 at 10 a.m. at Merritt Funeral Home in Wapato, with the Overnight Service following at the Satus Shaker Church. Burial will be held at 9 a.m. on Friday, January 10, 2014 at the Yemowat Cemetery.
