

Earl Reno “Gooey Duck” George, 55, passed away on March 2, 2014 at his home in Wapato, WA surrounded by his loving family. Earl was born on August 13, 1958 in Toppenish, WA to Esther (Skahan) George and Andy George Sr.
Earl worked in the field of security and was a proud member of the Yakama Nation.
Gooey Duck was an avid hunter and exceptional artist, traveled to numerous AC/DC and Black Sabbath concerts, and was a “die hard” Bruce Lee fan. Earl’s favorite enjoyment in life, however, was spending time with his grandchildren. He spent many hours playing with his grandchildren and his family meant everything to him.
Earl is survived by his wife, Patricia M. Ashue; daughters, Cecelia F. (George) Jack and her husband Scotty Jack, and Chasity L. (George) Gomez and her husband Daniel Gomez; step-sons, ReFugio Silva and his wife Ann (Hiler) Silva and Avelino Valencia; brothers, Gerald George, Richard George, Scott George, and Andy George Jr.; sisters, Geena George, Sharon Wesley, Georgianna Frank, and Gwen George; and his grandchildren, Maiya Jack, Darian Jack, Cosmo Jack, River Joe George, Charles Walker Jr., Michael George, Isha George, Dymelle Root, Seneca Root, Kianna Silva, Lucas Silva, Avelino Valencia Jr., Arion Valencia, and Olivia Valencia.
Earl was preceded in death by his parents Esther (Skahan) and Andy George Sr.; brothers, Wendell George, Willard George, and Robert George; and his sister, Carol George.
A Dressing Service will be held today, March 4, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at the Toppenish Longhouse with an Overnight Service to follow. Burial will be held Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at 8:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in White Swan.
