Roberta was born October 16, 1968 in Amarillo, Texas. Roberta made her home in Wapato.
Roberta was employed by Heritage University in Toppenish as a Data Manager for fund raising where she led that
department through its period of greatest growth and expansion. She leaves behind a grateful Heritage
University community blessed by her 17 years of service.
The light and joy of her life was her daughter Ariana, who she supported through countless basketball games, the
search for the perfect first car and the challenges of college exams. Inspiring mother, devoted friend, daughter
and sister, doting aunt and godmother, and admired colleague and mentor, Roberta transformed the lives she
touched. She had a close circle of friends and a welcoming home. She was a woman of kindness and compassion
always the first to lend a helping hand. Roberta was loyal, reliable and steadfast. She possessed a lively sense of
humor that could both comfort and skewer as the occasion required. Her passing is a profound loss for all who
knew and loved her.
Roberta Allen will be deeply missed by all the lives she touched within the valley and beyond. She is survived by
her daughter Ariana Allen, Estevan Alvear, her mother Velda Allen, 3 sisters-Pearlanna Robinson, Myrtle Lopez,
and Kathy Rojas, numerous nieces and nephews and extended family. She was preceded in death by her father
D.H. Mack Allen.
