Amelia was born in Detroit, Michigan on October 17th, 1928 to her parents John and Mary Shamo. She worked as an Executive Secretary for over 30 years with Chrysler Corp. where part of that time she was an executive assistant to Lee Iacocca. She was especially proud of her Lebanese and Syrian heritage, but above all, she was a devoted Catholic and trusted in God at all times.
She was the last remaining of six children John, George, Louie, Virginia, Paul and herself. All have passed now making the family circle is whole again.
She is survived by many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.
A funeral mass is scheduled at St. Peter Catholic Church, 95 Market Street, Mt. Clemens, MI 48043 on Tuesday April 25th where Amelia will lie in-state at 10:00A.M. until the funeral Mass at 10:30A.M.
Amelia will be laid to rest at White Chapel Cemetery, Troy, MI following services.
