Anita was born on December 24, 1934 in Detroit, MI.
She attended Burbank Elementary and graduated from Edwin Denby High School in 1952.
On July 24, 1954 she met the love of her life, Karl Wuerzinger at a Catholic Kopling Society picninc while he was in the U.S. Army. They were married on June 9, 1956 and at the time was working at Chrysler in the Export Division.
They moved to Fraser, MI in August 1957. Their son was born in 1957 and their daughter in 1959. She went back to work in 1968 at Detroit Bank & Trust, which is now Comerica Bank until she retired in 1991 with Karl, after 23 years.
They lived in Fraser for 65 years before moving to Baldwin House Senior Living in 2022. Karl passed away in 2023.
She was a member of the Catholic Kopling Society for 68 years and held various positions. She enjoyed cross stitching, loved reading and enjoyed time with family and friends.
She is survived by her children Tony (Wanda) Wuerzinger, Heidi (Nick) Barris, grandchildren Lisa, Eric, Alex and Tara, great grandchildren Anton, Angelina, Drake, Tristan, Aiden, Evan and Karlee.
She is preceded by her husband of 66 years, Karl Wuerzinger, parents Hugo and Josephine Kussner, sibling Donald (Martha) Kussner.
Friends may visit AH Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Rd., Warren, MI 48088 on Thursday, May 9, from 2:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
A funeral service will be on Friday, May 10 at the funeral home. In state 9:30 am until the service at 10:00 am.
