Barbara was born in Detroit, Michigan and lived in St. Clair Shores. She was married to the love of her life, Charles, until his passing. Together, they raised three children whom she stayed home to help raise. Once Barbara had her seven grandchildren, she became savvy with using the Internet. She would often log into her Facebook to check in and see how her family was doing, and used her online skills to become a shopping expert. As Barbara loved to stay up to date on her family, she always kept a calendar handy to remember important dates. She was sure to never miss a birthday or anniversary. In addition to her grandchildren, Barbara also loved caring for her pets. She always had dogs by her side until she rescued her beloved cat, Fluke. In her leisure time, you could usually find Barbara cooking, baking, sewing, or reading; she always had a book to share with you. She was strong in her faith, and shared her love of God by helping with the religious education program at St. Gertrude’s for many years. Barbara battled with MS since the age of 18, but she never let that slow her down. She will be missed immensely and loved eternally by her family and friends.
Barbara was the beloved wife of the late Charles. Loving mother of Mary (David) Morrow, Charlie (Carol) Luther, Jr., and Michael (Amy) Luther. Adored grandmother of Caitlin (Jason) Rodda, Molly Morrow, Melissa Luther, Megan Luther, Doug Luther, Dennis Luther, and Daniel Luther. Dear sister of the late James (Nancy) Bigham, Bob (Mary) Bigham, Bill (Maureen) Bigham, and Tim (Debbie) Bigham.
