

Beatrice Micallef, age 94 of Traverse City, Michigan died Friday, June 03, 2011. Beatrice was born January 10, 1917 in the town of Marsa, on the Island of Malta, the daughter of the late Charlie Castillo and the late Venerina (nee: LaRosa) Castillo. Mrs. Micallef moved the United States in 1950 and raised six children while residing in St. Clair Shores for over 20 years. She and her husband later moved to California where they would live for the next 10 years, before returning to their children in Michigan. Mrs. Micallef would live in Warren for 10 years and lastly move to Traverse City Michigan for her final 12 years. Mrs. Micallef was the consummate homemaker and mother she kept an immaculate home and loved to cook for all the family. She cherished her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also was a devout Catholic, who attended church as much as her health would allow, and would pray continuously. She will forever be remembered as a loving person by her entire family. Beatrice was the beloved wife of the late Consiglio Micallef, and the loving mother of George (Margaret) Micallef, John (Mary) Micallef, Joe (Elizabeth) Micallef, Rose (Joe) Scicluna, Carman (Mike) Reid, and Charlie (Kathy) Micallef. She is the dear sister of Alfred (Annette) Castillo, and Mary (Manuel) Vella. Also surviving are her cherished 18 grandchildren, and 24 great-grandchildren. Visitation for Mrs. Micallef will be held Thursday 2-9 pm at the D.S. Temrowski and Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Rd. at Common (12 mile). Mrs. Micallef will lie in state Friday 9am at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church until the time of the Funeral Mass at 9:30am. Memorial donations appreciated to the Susan G.
