Brenda V. Albers went home to the streets of gold on Sunday afternoon, November 24, 2024. She was born on June 17, 1951 in Flint, Michigan, the first child of Robert and Lucille (Miracle) Goodrow. Brenda married Howard Albers on April 28, 1973 in Flint, Michigan, celebrating fifty-one years of marriage this year. God blessed this union with three wonderful sons: Matthew, who met her at Heaven's gate; Mark (Frances) of Rochester, Michigan; and Micah (Melissa) Newby of Hazel Park, Michigan. She had one grandchild, Lucy; and one step-grandchild, Tristan. She loved her family with her whole heart and soul.
Brenda was preceded in death by her parents and her first-born son.
Brenda loved to sew, and even after she lost most of her vision, she sewed some burp cloths. She was known as the "Burp Cloth Lady" at church as she made sure the parents of every newborn received fourteen burp cloths and at least one changing pad.She also loved people, and would give whatever she could to help people in need. Her final words yesterday was an instruction to me, "Tell Lucy and everyone else I love them."
We thank God that by His grace, and through the completed work of His Son, Brenda believed and is now in His everlasting presence. Until our turn comes, we grieve our loss; she rejoices in her gain!
