

Sgt. Carl Joseph Krause, age 71 of Detroit, died Friday, February 5, 2021 at the VA Medical Center in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He was born April 7, 1949 in Detroit, son of the late Joseph Emil and the late Eleanor Helen (nee: Durkatz) Krause.
With thanks and praise from a grateful nation, we pay homage to Sgt. Krause for his service to our country as an airman in our valiant United States Air Force. A decorated veteran of the Vietnam War era, Sgt. Krause wore the uniform proudly and served with distinction from July 13, 1967 to July 12, 1971. We honor his commitment to the military, and for his answering the call of pride & patriotism by choosing to join his fellow comrades-in-arms. For the sacrifices made and his willingness to stand in harm's way, we extend our posthumous gratitude to Sgt. Krause for his distinguished and honorable service.
Carl was the beloved son of the late Joseph & Eleanor. Dear brother of Thomas Krause, the late David Krause, and the late Ann Hages. Carl is also survived by his loving niece, Elizabeth (Mark) McGowan; nephew, Luke Hages; grand niece, Valerie Roberts; and grand nephew, Elijah McGowan.
Visitation for Carl will be held Friday, February 12th from 3-9 pm, with a 7 pm Funeral Service, at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 ½ Mile Rd) in Warren, Michigan.
Following his service, the U.S. Air Force will perform military honors for Sgt. Krause in recognition of his service to our country.
