Carol Sue Burns Harder Caudill, 85, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family. She is now at rest with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Born on November 15, 1940, Carol grew up on a farm in northern Wisconsin, where her Ojibwa heritage and rural upbringing shaped her. After many years of traveling while her first husband, Arnie “Mike” Harder, served in the Navy, she eventually settled in Michigan. Life was not always easy, she leaned heavily on her faith, her church community, and the close friends and family who supported her through every season.
Carol later married Gobel Caudill, with whom she enjoyed her later years. Together they loved to travel—especially their long, meandering trips across the US and Hawaii to visit friends and family. Carol had a remarkable gift for crafting beautiful decorations and floral design.
