Christian Jacob Henderson Sr.

Christian Jacob Henderson Sr. was born on March 29th, 1964, on Easter Sunday to the union of Robert and Betty Henderson and was the third child born from their union. As his name implied, he was reared to be a Christian and believer of the word. He was also sent to replace his beloved great grandmother Gwendolyn, which he did so beautifully.

In 1988, Christian was united in holy matrimony with Natalie Henderson, of that union three lovely children were born and reared to be amazing adults, who he treasured and was very proud of. In 1999, Christian was united in holy matrimony with Karen Koeger until her passing in 2013, no children were born from their union, but she was a caring stepmother and wife. Christian was a warm, friendly and charismatic person who was loved by everyone he encountered.

He leaves to cherish his memory three children and two bonus children – his eldest, Alexis Henderson and her wife Kea Henderson; his second Briannah Henderson and her partner LaVelle Purdy; his youngest and only son Christian Henderson Jr. He also leaves behind his mother Betty Henderson, stepfather Roger Henderson and his siblings Robert, Kelly, Deta along with his nieces, nephews and countless friends.

He was the family rockstar-comedian who devoted his life to his career working as a nurse, raising his children, and helping others. He was a lover of tattoos, music and was never too shy to throw on his leather jacket and bust a move or fill the room with laughter and light – he was so loved and will be truly missed.

An instate for Christian will be held Saturday, May 14, 2022 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Rd, Warren, Michigan 48088, followed by a memorial service at 12:00 PM.
