Clara F. Lage

Clara Frances Lage, age 94 a resident of Warren since 1962, died Friday, September 11, 2009 at St. John Macomb Oakland Hospital in Warren. Clara was born July 31, 1915 in Detroit, Michigan the daughter of the late Joseph Rusin and the late Frances (nee: Trafalski) Rusin. She was raised in Detroit where she resided until moving to Warren. Clara was a homemaker and fabulous cook, whose specialty was making Pierogis and baking apple pies. She also enjoyed tending to her small garden of tomato plants and cucumbers. Clara was a simple person not squandering her savings, however her only vice in life was playing cards and going to the casino with family. Her other passion in life was doting on all her grandchildren, great and great-great. Clara was predeceased by her husband Anthony W. Lage in 1970. She is survived by her loving children, Anthony A. (Anna) Lage, Richard (Nancy) Lage, Arlene (George) Czarnonycz, David (Diane) Lage, Lawrence (Muriel) Lage, Margaret (Daniel) Schoenherr. She is the dear grandmother Anthony, James, Anne Marie, Robert, Kimberly, Karen, George, Vicky Lynn, Monica, Teresa, Michael, Richard, Lisa, Suzanne, Stephen, Jennifer, Alison, Christopher, and Amy. Great-grandmother of Anthony, Jenna, Danielle, Jason, Caitlyn, Corey, Kyle, Ryan, Vallyn, Richard, Bristol, Jacob, Montana, Megan, Maxwell, Lauren, Olivia, Valerie, Tommy, William, Emily, Matthew, Brendan, Mackenzie, Carson, Jack, Daniel, and Austin. Great great-grandmother of Kayden and Caleb. Beloved sister of Irene Hyrnik, Edward Rusin, and Julia Santos. Visitation for Mrs. Lage will be Sunday from 3-8 pm with a 6 pm Vigil Service at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 Mile Road). Mrs. Lage will lie in State Monday 9:30 am at St. Teresa of Avila St. Dorothy Campus Catholic Church until the time of the Funeral Mass at 10:00 am.
