Times like these are always difficult when you are compelled to say good-bye to someone you care so deeply about, especially at such a young age. But though his time on this mortal coil was brief, there’s one thing we know for certain,…Cody knew how to love, and he shared that love with each and every person in whose path he was destined to cross. With a smile that radiated like the sun, and often lit up the room,…a personality that you just couldn’t help but cozy up to,…and a heart as big as the moon, Cody leaves behind a storehouse of wonderful memories created and shared with those that meant the most, memories that are sure to keep him close with each reflection embraced.
Of the countless lives Cody touched, none were more special than his sister, his nephew, and his sweet little boy, Jace. As his sister shared, “he was a great brother.” Nephew Jake would gladly sing his praises as well by attesting to what a loving uncle he had in Cody. And most importantly, the love he bore for his namesake, Jace was beyond measure.
Though Cody leaves us far too soon, it is certainly not without imparting the depths of his love, in his own unique and genuine way, into the hearts and souls of all his family and friends alike. He fought a tough battle while down here on earth. But we can take heart in knowing that he is, now, safe in the arms of God with no more battles to fight. Rest in peace, Cody,…and know that your love made a difference, and will forevermore.
Along with his beloved parents, Richard and Karen, Cody is also survived by his cherished son, Jace Blanchard. He was the loving brother of Ashley Lis, uncle of Jake Lis, and loving companion to Maranda Maus.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home in Warren, Michigan.
