

Dana was a devoted member of Grace Baptist Church, joining in 1991. For 33 years, he faithfully shared his gift of music, playing guitar every Sunday. His love for music extended beyond church as he was a passionate fan, especially of Megadeth, and found joy both in playing live music, going to concerts and listening to his many CDs. A great deal of his time was spent in bands and devoting his life to live performances. A 1981 graduate of Centerline High School who kept in touch with many friends. For nearly his entire working career as a dedicated painter with Best Wallcovering & Painting, where his strong work ethic and craftsmanship were well respected.
Dana enjoyed life’s simple pleasures and the great outdoors. He cherished trips “up north” to Traverse City with his close friend he considered family and her family, where he would also visit his twin brother, Christopher. He loved spending time fishing off the dock. He loved golfing and bowling with friends. He also enjoyed camping trips with the “Motorcity Gang.” He enjoyed bonfires, tubing, canoeing, and spending time down by the river. These camping trips were filled with laughter, stories, and tradition, including a stop at Iva’s for their favorite chicken dinners. Another stop Dana never missed was Pinconning for jerky and cheese curds. Dana also enjoyed participating in murder mystery weekends, where his personality and sense of fun truly shined. Known for his great sense of humor, he loved playing pranks and making others laugh. He enjoyed watching and attending NASCAR events and was a devoted fan of race car driver Mark Martin. Dana was a talented cook who took pride in barbecuing ribs and making his own beef jerky. He was also incredibly handy and generous with his time, always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Above all, Dana will be remembered for his kind heart and gentle spirit. He never spoke ill of others and carried himself with quiet compassion and integrity.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 7, from 2:00pm until 8:00pm, at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Road, in Warren. Instate will be held at the funeral home the following day, Wednesday, April 8, from 11:00am until the time of the funeral service at 12:00pm.
