Known affectionately to all as a simple man with a big heart, Daniel bore a special countenance that permeated everyone around him. It was, at times, a calming influence that could bring order from chaos and peace amidst the storm. He was easy to talk with and a presence which compelled attention. But be not fooled about that serious side,…for as calming as Daniel could be, he was equally the family jokester who could have you laughing your butt off in an instant. He possessed a quick and impressive wit, the humor of a stand-up comedian, and was famous for his signature “one-liners.” When life could tend to be a challenge, you know you had Danny to count on to lighten the load.
A press operator by day,…on his nights and days off, Danny was commonly known as the “Gadget Guy.” Whether it was computers, laptops, cameras, cell phones. or the like,…if it was gadget based, chances are that Danny was well versed and acquainted with its operative powers and uses. He loved tinkering around with gadgets of all kinds and was quite adept in figuring them out. Danny also had an artistic flair that took its form in the art of drawing. With an obvious gift that flowed from his fingers onto paper, he had a portfolio that was rife with the many varied iterations of the drawings he produced over the years.
He was a funny guy, a gadget guy, and an artistic guy, yet perhaps most importantly,…Danny was a God Guy who revered his Lord and was very devout in his beliefs. He took his faith seriously and it was truly the guidepost of his life. Through his Christian faith, Danny managed to touch a multitude of hearts and souls as he journeyed this side of Heaven. He had the heart of a servant and the compassion of a saint, and ministered his own brand of love with all that crossed his path.
A loving father, brother and uncle, Danny leaves behind a storehouse of wonderful memories for all to embrace who were lucky and blessed to know him. He loved his family immensely and will be missed beyond measure. May he rest in peace.
Daniel was formerly the husband of Jennifer. Beloved father of Jacob, Gabriel, Angelina, and Alexis. Dearest brother of Joseph (Brenda) Iezzi, Donna Schmidt, Cindy Cairns, Kathy Iezzi, and Shari Cheick. He is also survived by several loving nieces and nephews.
