Daniel F. Nicholson, died suddenly Thursday, November 13, 2008 at his home in St. Clair Shores Michigan, at the age of 61. Mr. Nicholson was born in Detroit Michigan, April 5, 1947 to Harry and Marion Nicholson (nee: Lewis). Mr. Nicholson worked his whole life as a tree trimmer and was employed by Asplundh Tree Service. When not working he enjoyed his 67 Mustang and the Woodward Cruise. He also liked Lionel Trains and was an avid history buff. He loved to play pratical jokes on family and friends and was said to be the "Worlds Best Santa". Mr. Nicholson is survived by his loving wife Pat. Dear father of Major Jennifer Nicholson and Laura (Chris) Parrott. Brother of Charles Nicholson and Karen Buckberrough. Loving grandfather of Jacqueline "Jack" Nicholson and best buddy "Annie" his dog. Funeral sevices will be Tuesday 11:00 am. at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 15020 Hampton, Grosse Pointe Park, MI. Fr. Rich Bartoszek will be officiating the mass. Visitation will be Sunday 5-9 pm. and Monday 2-9 pm. at the funeral home. Additional visitation will be Tuesday, 10:30 am at the church. A Rosary service will take place at the funeral home at 8:00 pm. Monday evening.
