David Paul Marchese, age 53 of Macomb Township, died Thursday, July 10, 2014 at his residence. He was born on May 13, 1961 in Detroit, son of Matilda (nee: Zubrowski) and the late Sam Marchese. From childhood to adulthood, Fraser is where Dave called home, attended school, and grew into the man that many came to love. Being of Sicilian descent, he was extremely proud of his heritage and its traditions. It was all part of the charm & charisma that made Dave stand out above the rest. For those who knew him, they'll attest to the unique & genuine personality he possessed and how it could change a room each time he entered. Dave was a hard-working man whose expertise was realized in the field of painting. And not merely an excellent painter, he was also the owner of his own painting business. With his skills at hand and an entrepreneurial spirit at heart, Dave decided to dive into the pool of self-employment and say good-bye to working for somebody else. It simply goes back to that strong and influential personality. When he wasn't working, favorite pastimes took the form of both the indoor and outdoor variety. As for the outdoors, it would often tickle his desire to hop on his favorite ride, a shiny & sporty Hog! Not the one with the curly tail,…rather, the one with the tailpipe. Hittin' the open highway or the scenic backroads on a Harley-Davidson always spelled "fun & release" for Dave, and was a thrill he enjoyed at every opportunity. While indoors, Dave was often the one donning the chef's hat and working his magic with food. He was an awesome cook and could prepare a meal fit for kings. It's been said; "when you're eating, you're happy." Well, if there's any truth to that statement, then Dave is responsible for providing countless occasions of bringing happiness into the lives of many through his culinary prowess.A loving father, son, brother and friend, Dave leaves a legacy of love that will never be forgotten. Though his departure comes far too soon, still,…it is not without leaving a storehouse of warm and wonderful memories to draw from with each remembrance shared. And some pretty special memories will be those reflected upon by his best friend, Warren Lambert. Their relationship was the personification of "friendship,"…and a source of great joy for Dave for many years. Another special mention would definitely need to include his beloved, "Mau,"…his furry, four-legged child from the feline family. A cat with a personality just like its master, the two of them were a pair to behold. Yet of all the love that poured from this man , the greatest and most profound portion was that for his daughters, Kristine and Katie. They were truly his princesses, and he treated them like royalty. He was always there for his girls with the love & care that only a father can give. And yet, he still gave more,…to the many lives he touched in his journey this side of Heaven. Now, he's journeyed there,…but leaves reminders of the joy and pleasure it was to be in his company,…and in his heart. He will be missed immensely and loved eternally.David was the loving father of Kristine A. Marchese and Katie L. Marchese. Beloved son of Matilda, and the late Sam. Brother of John, Sam, Joe, and Chris (Linda) Marchese. A Memorial Visitation for David will be held on Monday, July 21st from 5:00 - 9:00pm, with a 6:00pm Memorial Service, at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 ½ Mile Rd) in Warren. Please share memories of David at his memory book.
