

Debora Lynn Alfonsi "Debi", age 51, of Sterling Heights, died January 2, 2013 at St. John Hospital in Detroit Michigan. Debi was born on August 14, 1961 in Detroit the daughter of the late Alan and the late Jane (nee: Harper) Mahin. Debi was raised in Eastpointe formerly East Detroit Michigan and graduated from East Detroit High School the class of 1979. Following high school Debi pursued her love of caring for others… She worked at Rose Villa Nursing facility as a health aid and later worked in home healthcare. As time passed Debi worked for St. John Macomb Hospital in Warren as a patient care technician for 15 years before going to work at Pine Ridge Assisted Living in Clinton Township Michigan. Debora worked as a Office Manager for Pine Ridge of Garfield Senior Living where she worked as the office manager. When Debi was not working she enjoyed life! She loved to entertain and be around people socializing, whether at home parties or at the Mount Clemens Elks Club. She constantly gave back in charitable work and volunteering. While her children were younger Debi acted as a Cub Scout leader, and volunteered many hours at Ascension Catholic Church in Warren. She cherished her family, children, and grandchildren, and would always try to be at every school or sporting event for the kids.Debi and her husband Dennis also enjoyed camping and being outdoors. She had quite a green thumb for her garden of flowers and vegetables. However Debi's greatest attribute of all was all the fun and love she shared with whomever she came into contact with, especially the love she shared with her family. Debi will forever be remembered for her huge smile and sparkling eyes.Debi was the beloved wife of Dennis Alfonsi, and loving mother of Eric, Amanda, and Bradly Bilot. Dear Stepmother of Dennis Jr. (Beth), Eric (Gina), and Brandi Alfonsi. She is cherished grandmother of Brynlie, Anthony, Alexis, Gia, and Dante. And the dearest niece of Susan Harper. Visitation for Debi will be Friday from 3-9 pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 ½ Mile Road). There will be Friday evening Catholic Vigil Service at 6pm, followed by the Elks Club Ceremony at 7pm. Please share memories of Debi at her guest book.
