Debra Marie Milligan

Debra Marie Milligan, age 51 of Center Line, died Monday, June 6, 2011 at the Henry Ford Macomb Hospital, Warren Campus. She was born on December 8, 1959 in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, the daughter of James and Mary (nee: Shook) Kump. To the many who were blessed to know Debra, they'll pleasantly recall her quick-witted, intuitive and intelligent nature that was enveloped by the heart of a fighter and a smile that could light a room. Wherever she went, the sunshine of her soul would go before her with a warmth & comfort that was special to Debra alone. Of all the things that she loved to do, perhaps the most endearing and treasured were the walks along the beach at Metropolitan Park that she shared with Craig, her companion of 5 years and, more recently, her fiance. Those quiet times they spent strolling the beach and sharing each others' company meant the world to Debra, and afforded her a host of special memories with her beau. When it came time for a little personal enjoyment and pleasure, Debra found great enjoyment in eating out. One of her favorite dining venues was Firenze's, where she loved digging into a plate of their famous Fish dinners. But without question, her absolute passion was the dining delight she found in Chinese cuisine. She could never get enough of her favorite chinese food, and her response was always the same when asked where she'd like to go...Chinese! A life gone far too soon, Debra leaves behind a legacy of love that will warm the hearts of all whose lives were touched by hers along life's way. She will be immensely missed. She was the cherished daughter of Jim and Mary Kump. Loving fiance of Craig Smalenberg. Dear mother of Stacey (fiance, Russell Thomason) Wesselink and Robert Spicer. Beloved grandmother of Aedon and Christian. Sister of Dawn Rabon. Aunt to Jimmy, Kayla, and Bubba. Arrangements were entrusted to the D.S.
