Dennis Gordon "Hook" Hadrian

Dennis Gordon Hadrian, age 61 of Warren, died Friday, June 30, 2017 at St. John Macomb-Oakland Hospital, Macomb Center in Warren. He was born November 21, 1955 in Flint, Michigan, son of the late Peter and the late Marie (nee: DeBacker) Hadrian.Some people in life just slide through unannounced, making no ripples as they proceed on their journey. But that certainly could never be said about Dennis as he grabbed all the gusto he could and definitely made his presence known,…especially with each blast of his imfamous, "GO BLUE!" That's right,…the University of Michigan sporting programs had NO GREATER FAN than that in the voice and persona of Dennis "Hook" Hadrian. This wasn't merely your every day, run-of-the-mill supporter. Some would say Dennis' blood had actually changed from red to Blue & Gold. But whatever it was that pursed through his veins, it was definitely infused with a healthy dose of Michigan Enthusiasm. From the clothing he wore to the memorabilia that filled his home, Dennis left no room for doubt in anybody's mind where his greatest passion lie. And he wasn't satisfied to ride that train alone as he managed to bring everyone along for the ride as well. If you weren't wavin' the banner at first, you certainly were before the day was out.But "Michigan" sports wasn't the only source of recreation for Dennis as he loved the outdoors and some of the other great venues that the Mitten had to offer,…like his love of fishing. Give Dennis a rod & reel, some lively bait and a quiet fishin' hole, and he was all over that, baby! Fishing is a oft sought after sport by many men, but Michigan offers some of the finest sources for bragging rights of any other waterways in the world,…and Dennis was forever in search of that infamous "Big One." Another outdoor pleasure Dennis enjoyed was the sport of Golf. There was always something special about hittin' the links on a sunny day with a close friend or family member that had "fun & entertainment" written all over it for him. Chasin' your balls around the course in the hopes of sinking them in a well-positioned hole,…now THAT spelled all kinds of fun, for sure. On another outdoorsy note, floating down the river in a canoe was high on Dennis' list of favorite things to do as well. The calmness and tranquility of listening to the canoe, ever-so-softly, break the water as it makes its way along was a recreational activity he couldn't get enough of,…and Michigan offered Dennis some of the greatest rivers to frequent when his sea legs came calling.As for something much less active, but equally as fun, Dennis truly enjoyed the fun and entertainment that accompanied an evening around the card table. Whether it was the Michigan favorite, Euchre, or some other game that involved slingin' the cards (and perhaps a little BS as well), there was always some great memories made each time a deck of cards brought the gang together. Yet of all the things he loved to do and the passions he held in life, Dennis would have told you that his sweetest pleasures and most endearing memories were those simple moments,…just being in the company, and arms, of his precious loved ones and friends. A loving Dad, grandfather, brother and uncle, Dennis offered so much to so many without asking for anything in return. He was the kind of guy who would give you the shirt off his back, and always tried his best to meet a need wherever possible. He leaves a legacy of love unique to the person he was, and one to be embraced with each reflection shared. He touched countless hearts and souls in his journey this side of Heaven, and now looks down on us from the other side,…our Guardian Angel. He will truly be missed. Dennis is survived by daughter, Denise; granddaughter, Lacey; and the love of his life, Toni. He also leaves to cherish his memory siblings; Jack (Hope), Ty (Terri), Debbie (Wayne), Doris (Virgil), Pete, as well as many nieces and nephews. Dennis was preceded in death by parents' Peter and Mary; brother Joe; sister, LouAnn, and nephews, Steven Douglas and DeWayne Bergeron. A Memorial Visitation for Dennis will be held Wednesday, July 5th from 1-4 pm, with a 3:30 pm Eulogy Service, at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 ½ Mile Rd) in Warren. SPECIAL NOTE: As a tribute to Dennis, the family is hoping that all who truly knew and understood Dennis' passion for all things "Michigan" will come dressed to his visitation in Michigan colors.
