Dennis May

Dennis May, age 76, of Warren, Michigan passed away suddenly at home surrounded by loved ones on Saturday, March 16, 2024. Dennis was born on May 27, 1947, in Detroit, Michigan, to his loving parents Robert and Shirley May.

Dennis was a true family man and his entire life was focused on making his wife, children, and grandchildren happy. He would go out of his way to make them smile and laugh. Family gatherings were always looked forward to, especially when there was an intense Uno game to be played. As an avid golfer he joined a league with his cousin Paul, together winning first place twice. He would watch any sports game that was on, didn’t matter which sport it was. For the most part, Dennis was a homebody, spending time with his wife and playing solitaire with his favorite, irreplaceable deck of cards. In August of 1966, he joined the United States Army where he proudly served in Vietnam until 1968. When Dennis came home after serving in Vietnam that is when he met his true love Nancy.

Dennis is the beloved husband of 54 extraordinary years to the love of his life, Nancy May. Loving father of Darcie (Wes) Jaczynski and Derek (Kristie) May. Treasured grandfather of Brianna (Tyler Monbleau) Jaczynski, Brooke (Marek) Lebioda, Leah Jaczynski, and Dylan May. Dearest brother of Robert (Barbara), the late Larry and the late Sandra. He is survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Memorial service will be held at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, 26830 West Park Street, in Roseville, on Saturday, April 6, at 11am.
