Donald Edward Boundy, age 76 of Warren, died peacefully on Monday, May 17, 2010, at his home. Don was born October 10, 1933 in Detroit, the son of the late William and the late Helen (nee: Shore) Boundy. Donald could be described as a very creative man, a wonderful artist in any medium. He was a proud Army Veteran, and even attended art school at Cass Tech through a GI Bill. When Don found the time, he loved to play golf and baseball. He was a loyal Detroit Tigers fan, as his family fondly remembers when he took them down to Tiger Stadium to meet Mark 'The Bird' Fidrych. He was the perfect example of a Mr. Fix It. Being a very handy man, he did everything from making stilts as a scout leader to building a bunk bed for his children. Most of all, Don was a great father, ahead of his time. He had no problem taking care of his kids, enjoying every minute spent with them. He had a great sense of humor. He was very dry and witty, never missing a beat with his words. In particular, he liked to tease his grandchildren, and in turn, they loved their grandpa very much. Don will be greatly missed by all who knew him, especially by his loving wife and children. Don was the beloved husband of Marilynn. He was the loving father of Timothy (Jeri Lynn), Lawrence (Gayle), Kenneth (Theresa), Kevin (Julie) and Daniel (Donna). Dear grandfather of Kaylene, Brandon, Megan, Aaron, Kristina, Michael, Matthew, Alexander, Tyler, Bryan, Nathan, and Madison. Brother of Betty Lou Kneffel and Robert Austin. Memorial Visitation for Don will be held on Friday from 11:00 am 1:00 pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 Mile Road). In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are appreciated in Dons name to Interfaith Caregivers or St. John Hospice. Please share memories of Don at his Guest Book.
