Donald D. McBride

Donald D. McBride, age 67, of Naples, Florida passed away on Friday, January 14th 2005. Mr. McBride was born in South Gate, California on December 30, 1937. Donald McBride retired from Jorgenson Steel Company in 1992. He moved to Naples from Bloomfield Hills, MI in 2003. Mr. McBride was very active in his residential community at The Strand in Naples. He also volunteered at the Conservancy of Southwest Florida, helping with the care of bald eagles. Prior to Moving to Florida, Mr. McBride was an active and longtime member of Oakland Hills Country Club, serving as its president and volunteering on many committees. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Audrey (nee: Monson) whom he married July 14, 1962. Also surviving are two children; Craig (Marilynne) McBride of Rochester, Michigan, and Cindy Rudland of Burlington, NC. Dearest grandfather of Connor, Kyle, Lindsey, Rachel, Matthew, and Jordan. He is also survived by his brother, Ronald (Vicky)McBride of Salt Lake City, Utah. In Florida relatives and friends are invited to visit at the Fuller Funeral Home, 1625 Pine Ridge Road in Naples, on Saturday, January 15th from 4-7pm . A prayer service will follow at 7:00pm at the funeral home. Visitation in Michigan for Mr. McBride will be Tuesday from 3-8 PM at the Wm. R. Hamilton Funeral Home, 820 East Maple, Birmingham, 248-644-6000. Mr. McBride will lie in state on Wednesday at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church in Birmingham, at 10:30 AM until the time of the Funeral Liturgy at 11:00 AM.
