

Doreen Helen Kenward, age 64 of Sterling Heights, died Saturday, June 19, 2010 at Beaumont Hospital in Troy Michigan. Doreen was born January 27, 1946 in Detroit, Michigan the daughter of the late Arthur Van Belle and the late Helen (nee: Mason) Van Belle. Mrs. Kenward was raised in Detroit and graduated from Denby High School. During high school and soon thereafter, Doreen worked for Crowleys Department Store, first as a student within their Co-Op program and eventually working her way up to the bookkeeping department. Doreen worked many jobs during her career and until recently had been employed by Diversified Occupational Testing Specialists in Sterling Heights as an administrative assistant. When Doreen was not working her passion was to be with her family and grandchildren, they all remember a very loving and giving person. She also loved her time at home with her cats or listening to her cherished Elvis music. A great get away for Doreen and her husband was aboard a cruise ship to sail the high seas and enjoy the onboard fun. Doreen was the beloved wife of Robert, and the dear mother of Jennifer (Daniel) Ingram. She is the loving grandmother of Jacob and Amanda Ingram, and sister of the late Dennis Van Belle. Visitation for Mrs. Kenward will be Wednesday from 2:30-9 pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 Mile). Funeral Services will be held Thursday 11:30 am, at the funeral home. Officiating the Funeral will be Rev. Elmer Schmidt.
