Dorothy J. Barr

Dorothy J. Barr, 84, died Saturday, November 29, 2008, in Select Specialty Hospital, Flint. She was born in 1924 in Muir, Michigan. Mrs. Barr enjoyed candy making, cooking, baking, and traveling to and living in Arizona. She loved photography and was known in her family as a Flicker Finger. She mostly loved spending as much time as possible with her grandchildren and family. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Arthur Bob Barr; daughters, Carolyn (John) Smith, Nancy (Robert) Hartley and Barbara Robarge; grandchildren, Julie (Duane) Lane, Suzanne (Jeff) Valken, Christopher (Suzanne) Fraim, James (Linda) Hartley, John Smith III, Eric (Alice) Fraim and Amy (Larry) Graham; 13 great-grandchildren; sisters, Teresa Fortune, Jean Fraim and Kathleen Garlick and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Warren Woods Church of the Nazarene, 14300 E. 13 Mile, Warren. Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Monday at the Temrowski Family Funeral Home 500 Main Street, Fenton and on Tuesday 2-8 p.m. at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 Mile).
