Earl D. Brady, age 76 of Warren, died Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at home. He was born on January 12, 1935 in Morristown, Tennessee, son of the late Samuel D. and the late Kattie M. (nee: Matthews) Brady. As for his career path, Earl was employed in the railroad industry where he worked as a welder. Aside from the job, he was renowned for being quite the handyman. Possessing his own brand of Mr. Fix-It qualities and skills, Earl was always tinkering with something and was the best guy to call upon when you needed something repaired. Always mindful of others, everybody knew that you could count on Earl in a time of need,...and he was always there to lend a hand. When he wasn't working, Earl pastimes were simple and homespun. Often, this would mean spending time in front of the television enjoying some of his favorite watching pleasures. On the sports front, it included catching his favorite boys of summer, the Baltimore Orioles. Yet, his ultimate TV entertainment came in the form of the old TV westerns, especially when they starred the Duke, John Wayne. But, perhaps, some of his greatest fun and enjoyment came when he shared a table of card playing with family and friends,...his favorite being a rousing game of poker. Cards, conversation & competition were definitely the 3 C's that spelled some of his best and warmest memories. But of all his memories and cherished moments in life, the most precious to Earl were those enveloped by his family. He absolutely adored his wife, and was immeasurably devoted to his three children. Then, eventually, God brought him some of the most treasured gifts of all, his grandchildren. With each of them special and unique in his eyes, they provided Earl with some of the greatest joys he'd ever known. A loving husband, father, grandfather and friend, Earl leaves behind a legacy of love that is genuine, true, and speckled with a myriad of colors that define what a caring and giving man he was to all. The lives he touched were many, and the impact he's left is immense. He will be sorely missed, and eternally remembered. He was the beloved husband of Margie, with whom he shared 55 wonderful years of marriage. Dear father of Daniel (Nina), Earl (Linda), and Valerie (Jared) Siemen. Loving grandfather of Gwendolyn (Brian) Sounart, William, Kelsey, Joshua, Brandi, Chloe, Brady; and great-grandfather of Julianne and Charlotte. He was preceded in death by grandchildren; Joseph, Jilian, and ALan Michael. Visitation for Earl will be held on Wednesday, August 10th from 3-9pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 1/2 Mile Rd) in Warren. His funeral service will be conducted at 11:00am on Thursday at the funeral home. Officiating the service will be Rev. Donald Rice. Interment will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Livonia, Michigan. Please share memories of Earl at his guest book.
