My deepest symptathy goes out to Edith's entire family. I am a cousin of hers from Buffalo, New York, and most recently of Florida. I have such fond memories of reunions and family get togethers in Michigan. My father is Edith's Uncle, Ted. His sister was Helen, Edith's Mom. Our prayers and thoughts are with all of you. Words cannot express the appreciation and love, to all our family and friends for the support we have received. It certainly was wonderful to see everyone again. I'm sorry it had to be at such a solemn event. We loved our mother very much and we can sense the love that others felt for her. I hope we are able to continue our correspondence. I have tried to imagine what good could come of this tremendous lose, this void to those that survive her. I know that she gave so much of herself that she will continue to live in me for years to come. I know that being able to fish with my father again is a gift from her to us. I would like to thank each of my siblings for thier individual contributions to our parents care, for loving them so much, and for becoming the family that we were taught to be when it mattered most. I would also like to thank Anthony and Alice for the special care given to Moms service, helping us all to say good-bye. And I would like to again share what I believe were her final words to us all, that she gave to me when I most needed her strength, I hope that they bring comfort to you as they did to me. Our Heartfelt Sympathy to Edies entire Family. I think we all have very fond memories of the time spent in Algonac. The weekends,parties, and Dad and Moms reunions. To all my cousins....I will always remember Edie with her beautiful smile and her love and care of her mom(Aunt Helen) and family. hi from brenda, i wanted to tell you, uncle jim, it was good to see you sunday, and it brught so many good memories back of you and aunt edie....walkin around gramas, lookin at all her flowers, with aunt edie, and all the times we had the parties, she had this one outfit it was red white and blue with gold buttons i dont know why i remember it... you and your wife raised a good family and you should be so proud of all your accomplishments. to be married as lng as you were, and to be together to help make her passing easier, you truly blessed her. and she blessed you, she will be missed i love you uncle jim love brenda

Edie and Jim were my godparents and I have fond memories of growing up in St. Clair Shores and spending time at thier house with my parents (Connie & Jim Kirby). We also had a lot of fun at grandmas house on the river at the family reunions. Although it has been a long time since I have seen them, Edie will be sorely missed. My greatest heartfelt sympathies go out to Jim, Dennis, Doreen, Gail, and Gary.

Quite sorry to hear about my cousin Edie. It's been a long time since those parties at the Lewandoskis, but I remember her and Victor and their children well. My sympathies to all. Tom Kaminski (son of Ted)

If you were to look in the dictionary under the word "Pure" you would be sure to see my Mother. Standing in the kitchen, preparing the noodles with her Aunts Esther, and Emily and her Mother Helen, for the soup that was to feed the family that they cherished so. Watching her prepare for an evening of penuckle and laughter, with the girls, with excitment in her eyes. And although most people dont recieve a manual when thier children arrive, I did, it was my Mother. No matter what the crisis, or joy, she always had the answer that I needed to hear, most importantly she encouraged me to turn to God, maybe more importantly she set the most amazing example of what a parent should be. Her never ending faith, her prayers and her courage taught me and sustained me on my sometimes difficult road. And altough she told me that she would have been content not living another day, that her prayers had been answered, when I "woke up" so many years ago, I thank God every day that I was blessed with many more years of her life, also giving her the opportunity to see her prayers answered. And never have I seen a more beautiful example of the vows taken at marriage than the example that my parents lived everyday, still calling her "His bride". (con't.)
