

Edward Joseph Hafeli, age 91, of Clinton Twp., formerly of Detroit, died peacefully January 14, 2007 at St. Josephs Hospital Center in Clinton Township. Edward was born March 18, 1915 in Detroit, Michigan the son of the late John Hafeli and the late Edith (nee: Miller) Hafeli. He is the beloved husband of 65 years to Maxine (nee: Lukasiewicz). Loving father of Edward Dennis (Dawn), Alan (Joanne), Donna (Jeremiah) Trombly, Kenneth (Josie), and Marcia (Robert) Hart. Proud grandfather of Scott (Aimee), Melissa, Brandon (Michele), Darrin, Mark, Jason, Tara (Keegan), Katie (Jason), Amy, Andrew and Greg. Cherished great grandfather of Ashley and Adam. Loving brother of John, Irene, Rita, Rose Marie, Edith, and the late Elizabeth. Edward served proudly in the Army Air Force during World War II. He retired from TACOM in Warren as a parts specialist. Edward was devoted to his wife and family and also his church. His time after retirement was spent with his family or helping organize events at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. Visitation for Mr. Hafeli will be Tuesday from 4-9 pm and Wednesday from 1-9 pm, with a 7:00 pm Rosary at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 mile). Mr. Hafeli will lie in State Thursday 9:30 am, until the time of the Funeral Mass 10:00 am at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, 8200 Lantz, Detroit (Van Dyke and Outer Drive). Celebrating the Funeral Mass will be Rev. Fr. Donald Sopiak. Memorial donations are appreciated to the Capuchin Fathers, The Arthritis Foundation, or Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church.
